This is one of an ongoing series of reviews that looks at the "Build The Ghostbusters Ecto-1" model subscription from DeAgostini, through their Fanhome imprint; also available in the United Kingdom and Germany. The Ghostbusters II Statue of Liberty Crossword Puzzle
Here in the United States, today is the Fourth of July. Well, technically, it is the fourth day of the month of July in ALL countries. So, maybe I should say that today is Independence Day in the U.S. That day on which we celebrate our independence from the British, and aliens, by getting drunk and shooting off fireworks... usually at the same time.
What better way to celebrate our freedom than with a semi-Ghostbusters-themed Statue of Liberty-shaped crossword puzzle taken from pages 80-81 of the "Ghostbusters II Joke, Puzzle, and Game Book" by Jim Razzi & Jack Looney.
Click on the above image to download a 300dpi single-page PDF (672 KB), which you can print out, should you wish to solve the puzzle on physical paper, or give it out at conventions. I only ask that you keep my credit intact.
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Easter Eggs
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire was recently released on physical disc media in the United States in the following formats: Standard 4K+Blu-ray Combo Pack, Steelbook 4K+Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray+DVD Combo Pack, and Individual DVD. To celebrate, let's take a look at some of the Easter eggs found in the movie.
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire 4K Blu-Ray DVD Home Video Review
Today, June 25, 2024, is a special occasion. Yes, it is Mckenna Grace's 18th birthday, and my 18-plus-a-few-decades birthday, but it is also the day that Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is released on physical disc media in the United States in the following formats: Standard 4K+Blu-ray Combo Pack, Steelbook 4K+Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray+DVD Combo Pack, and Individual DVD. There are a few Steelbooks (one store-exclusive) and a Gift Set release, as well as multi-film sets (but no "entire franchise" set), all of which I will detail in this fairly straightforward rundown of comprehensive details on what to find in each release. Thankfully, there are no store-exclusive or digital-exclusive special features, so all currently-released extras for the film can be found on the Blu-ray disc no matter where you buy it. Although this review only covers United States releases, it will, likely, also be applicable to Canada. I'm not sure about Mexico or areas outside of North America. I suspect that the discs are, for the most part, the same worldwide, but I can't say for sure, so I'll just err on the safe side and cover what I know has been released here in the U.S.
Xbox 360 Marketplace Closes on July 29th / Ghostbusters Items To Buy NOW!
If you're a retro gamer like me, and you've not already heard, Microsoft will close the Xbox 360 Marketplace (store) on July 29, 2024. After that date, you will not be able to buy any games or DLC from marketplace.xbox.com or through a Xbox 360 console. As a result, some Ghostbusters games and items will be lost, possibly forever. If you have a Xbox 360, and you never bought these Ghostbusters items over the past 15 years, you have a bit over 30 days left to get them.

Extreme Ghostbusters: The Complete Series Unofficial/Bootleg 4-Disc HD Blu-ray Set Review
Five years ago, I reviewed the Monsterland Media unofficial/bootleg Extreme Ghostbusters: The Complete Series 2-Disc SD-on-Blu-ray set. A few years later, TJ at Monsterland Media created a 4-Disc HD Blu-ray set, which contains the episodes at the full HD size of 1920x1080. Yes, this item was released a few years ago, but I never had a copy until recently, so better late than never. Also, it will be interesting to see how it compares to the official DVD release.
