En route to another job during the "Ghost Fever" montage, Ecto-1 makes a swift right past Umberto's Clam House. Umberto Ianniello founded Umberto's in 1972 after he walked around Little Italy two years prior and discovered a severe lack of seafood restaurants in the area. From 1986 to 1994, Umberto's was operated under the court-sanctioned supervision of federal authorities after a group, whose leaders included Mr. Ianniello's brother Matthew, was convicted of skimming income from Umberto's and other restaurants and bars. It was believed to be the only restaurant in New York overseen by the government over an organised crime case. In 1994, with increasing losses under Government control, the restaurant's control was returned to owner Robert Ianniello. In 1996, the restaurant was closed due to lack of funds and the building was sold, but reopened in 2000 on Broome Street off Mulberry.

During the "Ghost Fever" montage, Egon emerges from a brick faced building carrying a smoking trap. The strip of sidewalk in Little Italy on which Egon once stood with the smoking trap, is just half a block south of the old Umberto's location. The shops two doors down behind Egon are now small stores, and the "Pizza" and "Luna Restaurant" signs seen in the background are no longer there as their respective stores have moved out.

Clark Kellogg (Matthew Broderick) goes to work for "Godfather" Carmine Sabatini (Marlon Brando), who's office is near the Luna Restaurant that Egon was standing near. In fact, looking at the shot, it appears that Clark is standing right around where Egon was standing.
