Warner Brothers recently released the Tom and Jerry: The Complete CinemaScope Collection Blu-ray. Read on to find out more about it...
[ SYNOPSIS ]
With the rise of TV threatening moviegoing, wider screens became Hollywood's way to combat that competition. MGM went all in and placed their bets on the new CinemaScope process. In addition to their feature films, the studio emboldened their cartoon unit run by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera to do the same with their Oscar winning series of Tom & Jerry shorts. This set includes all 23 of these wide-screen wonders:

The shorts are presented in a 2.35:1 aspect ratio, and have not been rated. Audio languages include English. Subtitle languages English SDH.
[ SPECIAL FEATURES ]
All of the content listed below can be found the Blu-ray disc.
- Good Will to Men (1955) (8:29) - A cautionary tale about destructive post-WWII warfare featuring mice.
- Give and Tyke (1957) (6:38) - One of two spin-off Spike and Tyke cartoons, this one showing the poor pup in trouble after a stray dog steals his license to avoid a trip to the local pound.
- Scat Cats (1957) (6:29) - The other Spike and Tyke short, which finds them in charge of the house, until Butch the cat calls his friends over for a big party.
No digital copy code voucher is included inside the standard one-disc blue Blu-ray case.

Tom and Jerry: The Complete CinemaScope Collection) is available on Blu-ray. It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and I hope it is the start of more Tom and Jerry on Blu-ray.
