[ NOTES ]
Constantine (2005) is available on 4K UHD, 4K UHD Steelbook, Blu-ray and 2-Disc Deluxe DVD. While the new 4K UHD looks great, and I do RECOMMEND it, I have to report that many extras from the previous Blu-ray and 2-Disc Deluxe DVD releases are missing here. The Blu-ray features an "In-Movie Experience" picture-in-picture track that isn't here. The DVD included the "Passive" music video by A Perfect Circle (4:15); Theatrical Teaser Trailer (0:55); Theatrical Trailer (2:22); optional director's commentary for the "Foresight: The Power of Pre-Visualization" featurette; optional director's commentary for the Deleted Scenes; and three Easter eggs: Computer Animation (1:14), Stunts (2:00), Gavin Rossdale Discussing Make-Up Sessions (0:56). I have no idea why these items weren't ported over to the new 4K, especially the commentaries for the "Foresight" featurette and deleted scenes. This wouldn't have been an issue if Warner Brothers still included a previously-released Blu-ray disc with the 4K disc.
Anyway, this 2005 feature isn't the only bit of Constantine media. The complete 2014-2015 television series is available on Blu-ray and DVD. The City of Demons (2018) animated movie is available on 4K UHD and Blu-ray. The House of Mystery (2022) animated movie is available on Blu-ray. Finally, all of this media is based on the DC Comics/Vertigo "Hellblazer" graphic novels written by Kevin Brodbin and Frank Cappello.
